How can it be treated?

There is no treatment for the most common version of AMD (“Dry” macular degeneration). The disease can be slowed down by eating green leafy vegetables and over-the-counter AREDS2 vitamins, such as CataRx. The best way to screen for all forms of macular degeneration is with an Amsler grid.
